Water baptism is a powerful and public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ. Throughout Scripture, believers were baptized as an act of obedience and a testimony of their new life in Him.
Biblical reasons for water baptism include:
Jesus commanded it – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them…” (Matthew 28:19).
Jesus modeled it – Jesus Himself was baptized, setting the example for us (Matthew 3:13–17).
It symbolizes new life in Christ – Baptism represents dying to our old life and being raised to walk in new life (Romans 6:4).
