The Preaching Intensive is a one-day training designed to equip participants with the practical tools needed to deliver a clear, biblical message in any setting. Whether you’re a pastor or lay leader desiring to strengthening your preaching skills, or someone who simply wants to share your faith more confidently in your workplace and community, this event will empower you to communicate God’s Word with clarity and impact.

Is there a cost?
Yes. We charge $25 per event, per person to cover the cost of lunch and materials.
What if I have special dietary restrictions?
If you have special dietary needs, please email Pastor Nancy.
What is provided?
Lighthouse provides lunch as well as coffee, water, and snacks all day.
What do I wear?
This day is casual. Most folks wear jeans and a t-shirt. Be comfortable.
What should I bring?
1) Bible
2) Pen
3) Notebook, Laptop and/or tablet
4) Message theme or idea
5) At least three Scriptures that support your idea or thought.
How old do I have to be?
8th grade and older.

Nick Serban IV
Nick Serban IV currently serves as the lead pastor at Full Life Church in Franklin, TN, with his wife, Brittney, and four children. He’s a third-generation Assemblies of God pastor and has served overseas as a career missionary in Thailand. Nick is passionate about expository, faith-filled preaching and hands-on discipleship, and focuses on contextualizing the Bible to all people, no matter their background.
Melody Critchfield
Melody Critchfield believes kids of all ages can have a real relationship with God. Her passion is creating a fun, engaging environment where children encounter God through His Word, worship, prayer, service, and relationships. She has served in children’s ministry for many years—including over a decade as a Children’s Ministry Director—and has experience as a teacher, nursery caregiver, and camp counselor. Raised in Missouri, she has followed God from a young age. Melody has been married to Dan since 1994, has three kids who serve the Lord, and enjoys reading and hiking.

Maury Davis
Maury Davis, a specialist in church growth and leadership development, has served in high-level church leadership for almost thirty years. As a senior pastor, he preached a message of grace and favor to the thousands under his ministry every week. Known for vision-casting and creating an atmosphere of excellence, he built an international ministry at his church to partner around the world, building over 2,000 churches in Kenya and schools and orphanages in India, Thailand, and many other nations. He has taken seriously the call to reach the lost. Maury now has a heart for training and equipping the next generation of pastors to better lead their congregations and grow their churches.
